I've been singing,
All month long in preparation for another year around the sun.
This one feels different.
I’ve been writing more, reflecting more, and planning more.
I've been thinking deeply about what it means to push my own growth edge.
As I celebrate another trip around the sun, the two questions that keeps surfacing are, "What do I want to do? Who do I want to be?"
What do I want to do?
Although I’m planning a day-to-night celebration, that’s not the type of “doing” I’m referring to.
I’m thinking about impact, about purpose.
Each of us has a gift, a unique way of seeing and contributing to the world.
So the real question becomes:
"What do you want to do with this one, beautiful life you’ve been given?"
How can you share your gift in a way that leaves a lasting imprint on the people and spaces you touch?
Who do I want to be?
In order to truly make the impact you envision, there’s an inner journey that must take place.
Doing and being are interconnected, and to achieve what you desire, you have to first ask yourself:
"Who do I need to become?"
"What parts of myself do I need to nurture?"
And, equally important, "What do I need to release?"
Stepping into your potential means expanding beyond the familiar, letting go of old patterns, and trusting that what lies on the other side of discomfort and uncertainty is growth.
As I continue to ponder these questions, I encourage you to do the same.
I don't know about you but I am damn excited to continue stretching my boundaries in pursuit of what brings me joy and fulfillment while showing up big for all those around me.
